Blog

With this blog I mainly want to inspire you. The posts are based on my experience. It can be a coaching I did, a presentation I have done, a TED talk or another youtube movie I have seen from which you can learn. The posts cover the topics that are very important for me like storytelling, how to deal with stress, body language, how to use PowerPoint, pitching and presenting to the board. The posts are in English or Dutch. As I have been blogging for years on this topic you will see that the oldest posts go way back to 2008 when I started writing articles on this topic. I have transferred all my posts to this website which unfortunately means that I have lost all the comments and reactions which is a pity but hey…you can leave new comments right 😉

I rarely remember names but I remember faces very well. And when this guy walked into the training room some 2 weeks ago I knew he had been in my training before. So I checked and I was right and the logical question for me...

How do you deal with stress the minute before you go on stage? Listen to the presentation tip that helps me again and again… [embed]https://youtu.be/4fx3DHPME-k[/embed]...

I know so many people who think that the longer you speak and the more content you provide, the more valuable it is. But what about your audience? They have most often a very passive role, just listening, and that is far more difficult than...

Last week I heard once again that when you need to talk to a high level audience you better be prepared to make it short. It is not because they have given you 20 minutes that you will actually have 20 minutes speaking time. It...

I figured out long time ago that nearly everyone is nervous to do a presentation. The difference though between an experienced and non experienced speaker is that experienced speakers know how to deal with these nerves and ACT confident. They come close to their audience, they will...
