Blog

With this blog I mainly want to inspire you. The posts are based on my experience. It can be a coaching I did, a presentation I have done, a TED talk or another youtube movie I have seen from which you can learn. The posts cover the topics that are very important for me like storytelling, how to deal with stress, body language, how to use PowerPoint, pitching and presenting to the board. The posts are in English or Dutch. As I have been blogging for years on this topic you will see that the oldest posts go way back to 2008 when I started writing articles on this topic. The term minimalism is also used to describe a trend in design and architecture where in the subject is reduced to its necessary elements. Minimalist design has been highly influenced by Japanese traditional design and architecture. In addition, the work of De Stijl artists is...

Yesterday I gave a training in The Netherlands and as usual one of the topics was the timing of a presentation. You think you have 20 minutes for the presentation, though reality is you only have 10 minutes. For Prime Minister Balkenende it was even worse....

Yesterday I did a follow up coaching. It was a presentation with slides the speaker had created himself. Beautiful slides, great introduction but what I noticed was that he clicked to a next slide and then talked. You might think that this is fine though...
